Yahweh's Love

So I never thought I would write songs. I'm not talented enough with music. But today I ended up in the practice rooms in the music building and was just playing around on a piano and found four chords that I liked in progression: F, Dm, Bb, C. and this is what came out of it. It's called Yahweh's Love:  

O Lord, I’ve tried so hard.

O Lord, I’ve failed again!

And even though I think I’ve given You my everything,

I’m still trying to do this on my own!

Yet You remind me still, that Your love is never failing.

And You remind still, that Your love has no end!

And even though I walk through this valley that’s in darkness,

You remind me still, that You’re Yahweh, faithful ‘til the end.

O Lord, it seems we’ve been over this a million times.

Why do I insist on offering these useless tries?

I know the only way to please You is solely with my faith,

But my flesh tells me there’s more and it’s turning this to waste.

Yet You remind me still, that Your love is never failing.

And You remind still, that Your love has no end!

And even though I battle my own selfish pride,

You remind me still, that You’re Yahweh, always by my side.

Now take this life, take this heart, take this will of mine.

Rend them into pieces until it’s only the Divine,

That I’m living by, loving for, longing to be with.

For it’s Your power manifested, and no greater love than this,

That reminds me that You want me. O the wretched soul I am.

That You created me to serve You. You who are “The Great I Am.”

So I’ll bow before and surrender all the things that I’ve held back,

For it’s only through surrender, You can use a life like mine.

And when You’ve sanctified and glorified and purified this body,

When You’ve cast away the old man that’s tying me to sin,

Then my spirit shall be free, to magnify and worship

This Yahweh, who’s unfailing love…unfailing love never ends.

You are sanctifying,

You are glorifying,

You are purifying,

You are redefining me.

You are sanctifying,

You are glorifying,

You are purifying,

You are redefining me.

O sanctify me.

Glorify me.

Purify me.

Redefine me, Lord.

And You remind me still, that Your love is never failing.

You remind me still, that Your love has no end.

Now I’ll rest in that promise of your overwhelming love.

I will be still, I will worship, Yahweh I serve above.

For it is Yahweh who is worthy, and to Yahweh do I sing.

And I give my life to Yahweh, though a feeble offering,

For Him to do with as He pleases, and to accomplish His will.

I am secure in my surrender.

For I know that Yahweh’s love,

I know that Yahweh’s love is faithful.

It’s faithful to the end.
